Merry...Earth Day?

It's April 22nd and they finally took the Christmas signs down on Alum Rock road and replaced them with “Shop Alum Rock Village” signs. Oh yeah…right. I suppose you could stop off and grab your cash advance for your abortion before hitting up the pet store to buy a fish to replace your fetus and a bottle of liquor to drown your sorrows.

this isnt completely finished but it cost me $15 to scan this sucker so I'm not doing it again. this is all done in pencil and based off of the Hoh Rainforest...and inspired by the book Twilight. cause im a nerd like that.

something old

i found this image on my computer. i did this digital charcoal drawing....a looong time ago while i was at jr. college and just seeing it again was kinda cool. although the image itself isnt finished, just looking at it brings back memories of what school was like at that time, who my friends were and what i enjoyed. i feel like for my skill level at that time, this we pretty impressive for me. i did have reference for this piece but it was still a really great exercise and it reminds me of when i was really confident in my art work. ah those were the days, but everyone has to grow up some day. right?
